Who We Are
BlueSky Property Management is a Charlottesville-based property management, community association management and real estate brokerage firm. Founded in 1965 as HasBrouck Real Estate, the company rebranded as BlueSky in 2022 and is one of the oldest management firms in Central Virginia. Today our team of 35 manages over 1,500 rental homes and 31 homeowners and condominium associations representing about 3,000 homes across Charlottesville, Albemarle County and the Shenandoah Valley.
What We Do
Residential property management. Full-service management for Owners of single-family homes, townhomes, condos and apartment communities: leasing, rent collection, maintenance, inspections and monthly owner statements.
Community association management. Management for homeowners, condominium and property owners associations: financials and budgets, assessments, board meetings, architectural review, vendor oversight and resale disclosure packets.
Leasing for Residents. Homes for rent across Charlottesville, Albemarle County and the Shenandoah Valley, including student rentals near UVA, with online applications, payments and maintenance requests.
Maintenance. An in-house maintenance team that handles routine work orders, turnovers and emergency repairs for the properties and communities we manage.
Real estate brokerage. Buying and selling services for investors and Owners through our BlueSky Marketplace.

Our leadership holds an MBA degree, as well as CPM (Certified Property Manager), CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager), CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) and AMS (Association Management Specialist) designations. BlueSky is licensed by the Virginia Real Estate Board (license 0226034658) and holds a Common Interest Community manager license (0501000441) from the Virginia Common Interest Community Board.
